Creative Direction • Brand Identity • Motion • Merch • Web Experience
United Conference is a two-day gathering designed to inspire young adults and emerging leaders to live and lead with bold faith. The challenge was to create a unified visual system that felt modern, courageous, and deeply rooted in the spiritual heart of the event, one that could scale seamlessly across live environments, digital platforms, motion, and merchandise.
My role was to lead creative direction across the entire experience, shaping a cohesive brand and guiding it from concept through launch.
United Conference needed a visual identity that would attract inner city youth in San Francisco. They needed a visual language that could carry meaning, on stage, on screen, online, and in the halls of their classrooms.
The identity had to:
I started by listening—working closely with the leadership team to understand the heart of the theme, the audience, and the experience we wanted people to feel.
The direction centered on “Be Bold” (Acts 28:31), aimed at young adults and emerging leaders. Key ideas like courage, movement, and light in darkness shaped every design decision.
The goal was simple: create a confident, modern, faith-driven experience that felt immersive, focused, and full of forward momentum.
Next, I translated strategy into visual emotion.
I explored:
This phase wasn’t just about how things would look… but how they should feel. Once aligned with the team, we locked the art direction and moved into execution.
I built a flexible visual identity system designed to scale across every touchpoint—from stage screens to digital and merchandise.
The system combined bold typography, high-contrast color, and cinematic lighting with a custom icon set representing boldness, unity, faith, and movement. Together, these elements created a cohesive visual language that could adapt across formats while staying clear, confident, and declarative.

With the system in place, I led the creation of core assets, including:
Because the system was defined early, we were able to scale efficiently while maintaining strong visual consistency.
The goal for merchandise was to create pieces people would actually want to wear beyond the conference.
I designed apparel that carried the bold visual language into everyday life, turning the brand into a wearable expression of faith rather than a one-time event souvenir.
I designed and built the conference website end-to-end, focusing on clear hierarchy, strong visual immersion, and mobile-first performance. From wireframes to final deployment, I ensured the digital experience felt cohesive, intuitive, and aligned with the overall brand.
United Conference required more than design, it required creative direction across an entire ecosystem.
My role was to unify vision, branding, motion, digital, and physical experiences into a single, cohesive story. From the first discovery conversation to the final website launch, every touchpoint was designed to communicate one message clearly:
Be bold.
Thomas was a great creative partner for United Conference. He understood our vision, led the process clearly, and brought everything together across brand, motion, and digital. The experience was collaborative throughout , and we loved the conference landing page!

If something here resonated, I’d love to connect. I believe the best work is built with clarity, trust, and people who care about what they’re creating.
